Hanging out in art galleries
Every few weeks, I go hang out in an art gallery if time permits. I do it for many reasons but overall, I have a really good time. My favorite is the Hyaena Gallery in Burbank, California. I meet lots of new people including fans of my work. I meet other artists which sometimes leads to REALLY cool art trades. I get exposed to new art, new mediums, new images, new culture. It is exciting. I get out of the house (important since I stay home a lot). If you need something cheap to do, explore you local art scene. Become regulars at shows. You will become pleasantly suprised at how much galleries have to offer! Most Galleries have a reception night for the newest exhibit and offer things like free wine and cheese. Some communities have several galleries in one space so you can spend the night art hopping.
